Date:2025-03-28
As the world’s largest dedicated IC foundry, TSMC is actively fulfilling its sustainable commitments by deepening its blueprint for advanced technology and innovate its manufacturing technology.
PECL has been providing technical expertise critical to Taiwan’s economic development since it was founded in 1979. Aside from actively participating in various major construction projects, PECL has been giving back to the environment and local community through sustainable development programs.
One of these sustainable development projects is the TSMC Spent Solvent Thermal Recovery Facility which PECL as EPC contractor successfully completed in July 2024.
On November 13th 2024, TSMC inaugurated its Taichung Zero Waste Manufacturing Center. The center includes four major processing facilities such as fluoride recycling, silica recycling, spent solvent thermal recovery and isopropanol recovery; ensuring proper disposal of waste resources.
Ultimately, the sustainable development center will be integrated into TSMC’s facilities inside the Southern Taiwan Science Park.
