Ankeng LRT Line is Open for the Taiwanese Public in 1st quarter 2023

Wayne Chin (PECL Chairman) together with our Transportation Business Line group recently visited the site of the Ankeng Light Rail Transit (LRT) line after the completion of its initial inspection which will be open for the Taiwanese public in the 1st quarter of 2023. Ankeng LRT line is in Xindian District of the New Taipei City, Taiwan. Our client, China Steel Corporation selected PECL to perform its detail design, BIM modelling and construction support service for overhead catenary system, power supply system and at-grade signal system, including 7.5 km (at-grade and viaduct), 9 stations and a 3.78-hectare depot. The trains are composed of 5 carriages, with a passenger capacity of 265 passengers for each train. The hard work to achieve these milestones was exceptional, and we’re grateful to our PECL team and management for supporting this transformative project.
