2022 ES&H Children's Calendar
Each year Bechtel holds a children's calendar contest to promote positive occupational safety, environment and sustainability messages. Children of Bechtel colleagues and its affiliates participate to show their artistic talents and make the contest fun and heart-warming. Contestants submit artwork to promote their own themes and the selected artwork represents a month in the calendar.
This year, Bechtel received around 100 drawings from all over the world and 3 of them were submitted by children of our PECL colleagues. They are:
a) the granddaughter of Rong Huang Tsai (click here to view artwork)
b) the son of Yeong Kang Hwa and Hsiao Yu Tan (click here to view artwork); and
c) the son of Ted C.L. Lee (click here to view artwork).
Submissions had to pass an initial screening and then were posted for public viewing and selected by number of votes received. Over 6,000 votes were cast and the artwork titled “Safety Measures Protect Your Life” created by Kenneth, the son of Yeong Kang Wu and Hsiao Yu Tan, was voted as one of the artworks to represent a month (March) in the 2022 Bechtel ES&H calendar.
