PECL, CICHE Inspire the Next Gen of Engineers Through Student BIM Contest

PECL teamed with the Chinese Institute of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering (CICHE) to host an island-wide 3D modeling competition. Leo Kung, PECL BIM Center manager, was one of the board committee members that hosted the event. He was joined by other PECL colleagues in hosting the event and PECL Chairman provided an opening speech to the contest. The contest brought together more than 150 undergraduate and graduate students, representing 10 universities across Taiwan. The bi-annual competition seeks to encourage students to pursue careers in engineering and Building Information Modelling (BIM).
In addition to furnishing logistical support, PECL led the development of the contest format and rules employing real-life applications and case studies in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) field for the contestant teams to demonstrate their BIM skills and creativity.
