POMINI Project
As part of Taiwan's ongoing industrial upgrading, China Steel Corporation (CSC) continues to introduce advanced, automated, and high-efficiency production systems to enhance product quality and overall competitiveness. The “Straight Bar Extension at CSC's No.2 Bar Mill (Phase C)” represents an important investment toward improving dimensional accuracy, product consistency, and production-line integration. In this project, POMINI Long Rolling Mills (POMINI LRM) provides the main production line equipment, while PECL is responsible for basic engineering, detailed engineering, and technical support during the construction phase.
A key challenge of this project lies in integrating the new straight bar finishing line with the existing facilities of CSC's No. 2 Bar Mill. This requires careful coordination of civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, piping, and control system interfaces to ensure stable operation, improved production quality, and reduced maintenance costs after commissioning. PECL remains committed to applying our technical capabilities, familiarity with local processes, and international project experience to support CSC's modernization efforts and add value to POMINI's operations in Taiwan.
