PECL offered a summer internship program from July to August 2024 to selected students with major in Engineering at the universities for them to gain practical work experience that is relevant to their major or career goal and allow PECL to build a talent pipeline of students who are currently enrolled in a university program.

Upon intern’s on-boarding, each intern will be arranged a buddy from their assigned function and/or project to assist and support them in their daily on-the-job training (OJT) assignment during the internship.

During the internship, various trainings and events were arranged for the interns, e.g. new employee orientation, performance-based leadership course, and Tekla software course, etc. They have also been guided to use other software (e.g., Revit, MicroStation, Lumion, Dynamo, etc.) to apply that software in the practical work.

A luncheon with PECL Chairman and President was arranged for the interns to have an informal relaxed conversation with PECL Chairman and President to get many valuable advice for their study or career goal in the future.

Before completion of the internship, at the end of August, all the interns have made a wonderful completion presentation in fluent English to share their learning experiences with PECL senior management, relevant functional/business line managers, and their buddies, which impressed the audience. PECL Chairman also provided interns some suggestions on enhancing their presentation skills.

All the interns affirmed and expressed that they have benefited a lot from this internship program in PECL.
