Xizhi - Donghu Metro Line had its successful groundbreaking ceremony on March 20, 2025. The event was attended by dignitaries including New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih together with legislators, city councilors, and borough chiefs. Also present were the major AE consultants represented by Sinotech Consultant Engineering and MAA Group Consulting Engineers; EPC joint venture contractors between Gamuda, Dong Pi Co. and MiTac Information Technology Corp.; and civil engineering and water/environment works by partners CECI and PECL.

The Xizhi – Donghu Line has a total length of 5.56 kilometer starting from the Xizhi District Office in the east and ends at the MRT Donghu Station in the west. It has a total of 6 elevated stations (SB10- SB15) and 1 depot which is expected to be completed in 2032. This line will eventually form part of the planned MRT line connecting Keelung MRT and the MRT Minsheng Xizhi Line. Both the detailed CSA and MEPF design of the depot have been entrusted to PECL by our client Gamuda. With our project team’s expertise and dedication together with the full support of our management, this grandiose mission will certainly be one of our accomplishments.
