PECL’s impressive project experience in the power sector includes work in Taiwan, the United States, Japan, Philippines and Mainland China. PECL’s Power Team is unrivaled when it comes to providing comprehensive service on State-of-the-art fossil power projects, cogeneration and nuclear power projects.

We offer a full range of services to the power industry throughout the planning, engineering, constructions, and commissioning stages. During the planning stage we perform site selection & investigation, conceptual & preliminary designs, environmental assessments, and feasibility studies. At the engineering stage, we offer engineering, basic & detail design, material & equipment selection, procurement services, and equipment supply. And throughout the construction and commissioning stage, we offer installation, construction, startup, testing and commissioning services.

Our Fossil power plant experience consists of work on supercritical and subcritical fossil power plants employing various fuel and turbine arrangements such as coal, LNG, oil, diesel, CFB boiler, gas turbine, steam turbine and combined cycle. Nuclear power plant experience includes PWR, BWR and the associated low level radwaste treatment, storage and disposal as well as spent fuel wet and dry storage work.

Various roles we’ve taken on include owner’s A/E, designer, construction manager and turnkey contractor. We’ve also acted as consultants for various customers including a number of independent power producers (IPPs). As our parent company Bechtel was the original A/E for Taiwan Power Company’s second and third nuclear power stations, PECL supplied the majority of the betterment and outage support after these projects were commissioned.
